Using Dependencies to Hide,Show and make Fields Required
Keywords: hide,show,fields,visible,dependency,dependent,dynamic,visble,hidden The Dependencies tab in the Field Properties window allows you to make a field either required, or have it become visible based on the value of another field. To make a field Visible or Required based on another fields value, you start by clicking the edit button in the form editor on the field that you want to have shown or set as required. Click the Edit Properties Link in the pop up menu shown here:
In the field Properties window that opens, click the Dependencies Tab:
Next, click the "Create New Dependency" Link to create the Dependency Clause. A filter row will appear and you can build the Dependency Clause. When the Clause is matched, the current field will be either shown, or made required or both based on your selection from the radio button group shown below:
When you are done, click Save & Close to close the Field Properties window and save your changes.

Notes: - On a multipage form, the dependency can only be to fields on the same page of the form
