Inserting Wildcards

Adding Wildcards in the Editor Wild cards allow you to insert data into an email or page that will be pre-populated when the email is sent or page is published. Click on the wild card button to open the wildcards window. Figure 1. Click on the Wildcard button to select a field to insert Once the window is open you can select to either "Insert All Fields" or you can individually insert fields yourself. In this example we will just insert the first name field. Figure 2. Select what fields you want to insert Once you select the field you want to insert it will be placed in the body of your document. Figure 3. The wildcard will now be inserted into your document When the email or page is displayed the wildcard fields will be pre-populated with the data from the field. Wildcards can be a very powerfull tool, from including all the submitted information in a Notification email to delivering a personalised Autoresponder. Wildcards are the building blocks of a great form processing solution with Logiforms.
