CurrentUser WildCards
When your profile is secured by a Member Database, the wildcard menu will display a list of wildcard variables for the currently logged in user. You can use these wildcards, for example, to show the logged in users name in the header. The wildcards that relate to the currently logged in user start with "CurrentUser.":

In addition, these variables can be used to relate newly completed forms back to a logged in user. This is a very powerful concept. For example, lets say we published a directory of Real Estate listings. We want to be able to track all enquiries made by a logged in user. Each listing in the directory could contain a link to a form used to collect the enquiry. In order to track the logged in user to the enquiry, we can link to the form and pass it an ID and other variables to pre-populate it. For example, we could create a link like this:[CurrentUser.record_id]Â &firstname=[CurrentUser.first_name]">Enquire About this Listing Notice how this link/anchor tag passes the record_id and the first_name of the currently logged in user to the form. This will pre-populate the form with these values and can be used to relate the new form submission back to the currently logged in user. Â |

"This export feature is crucial for us. We used it extensively during
the 4,000 participant VBS this past summer, to create special
reports, sort and organize data, etc. We also will use it
extensively for our online donations, to create giving "reports" on a
bi-monthly basis."
